Why community outreach matters.

Engaging residents and other stakeholders in the community-building process is essential to a local government's success. We conduct community outreach to increase understanding, make better and more sustainable decisions, and build trust. Our goal is to foster a more cohesive community and increase resident satisfaction.

Need help signing up for Smart911?

To help mitigate any potential confusion during the transition to a new emergency notification system, city staff are holding a series of workshops for citizens needing assistance. If you are unable to attend, email pressoffice@cityofsummit.org to make a one-on-one appointment.

Meeting for board, committee and commission chairpersons

On Thursday, October 26, 2023, city volunteer group members participated in a workshop session to foster collaboration, strengthen ties, and build transparency among municipal entities. They were also able to showcase the hard work each committee has been doing.
