The Tax Collector's office collects taxes, sewer charges, and curb and sidewalk special assessments. The Tax Collector enforces timely payments, delivers delinquency notices, calculates interest on delinquencies and holds tax sales. Requests for municipal lien searches are also conducted by the Tax Collector's office.
Residents may qualify for tax relief under the following programs.
Fourth quarter property tax payments are due on November 1, 2020.The last day to pay without penalty is November 10, 2020.
Although City Hall has reopened to the public, we are still following coronavirus restrictions from the State of New Jersey. Masks are required for everyone entering City Hall, no exceptions. If possible, please utilize online payment options or use the dropbox located on the outside wall at the parking lot entrance to City Hall. Mailed payments must be received at City Hall by the due date.
Monies from all automatic payments will be extracted on November 5, 2020. Please check your account on November 6th to be sure the transaction was correctly processed. Please note: if you have recently sold or refinanced your home, contact the Tax Office to terminate automatic payments. Monies will be extracted until the payment agreement is terminated.
