Except for isolated situations, all meetings of the Planning Board are open to the public, and public comments are welcome.

The mission of the City of Summit Planning Board is to provide professional advice and technical expertise to elected officials, appointed boards and commissions, city departments and citizens to assist in understanding and addressing key City issues and priorities.
Class I: Mayor or designee for term of Mayor's Office
Class II: Municipal official one-year term
Rick Matias, Assistant City Engineer
Class III: Common Councilmember for one-year term
David Naidu, Common Council
Class IV Members:
William Anderson, Chair
James Jay Brinkerhoff, Vice Chair
Class IV Alternates:
Chris Dunn, Alternate I
An environmental commissioner serves either as a Class IV member for one year or a Class IV member for the completion of his/her term on the Environmental Commission.
Class IV: Six citizens for four years and two alternates for two years
