The Planning Board meets once monthly and will entertain emergent applications. Please view a list of meetings or visit the calendar here.
All meetings of the Planning Board are open to the public, and public comments are welcome once application hearings are completed. No sign-up is required to comment. Public comments on specific site presentations are also allowed after each such presentation, with the length of the comments at the discretion of the Planning Board chairperson. Public comments are also allowed for topics other than site presentations.

The mission of the City of Summit Planning Board is to provide professional advice and technical expertise to elected officials, appointed boards and commissions, city departments and citizens to assist in understanding and addressing key City issues and priorities.
Class I: Mayor or designee for term of Mayor's Office
Class II: Municipal official one-year term
Class III: Common Councilmember for one-year term

Class IV Alternates:
Richard Fiore, Alternate I
Richard Pechter, Alternate II
An environmental commissioner serves either as a Class IV member for one year or a Class IV member for the completion of his/her term on the Environmental Commission.
Class IV: Six citizens for four years and two alternates for two years
