Responsibilities

The Office of the Treasurer administers the financial affairs of the city, including purchasing, general accounting, salary and benefits administration, investments, preparation of bond issues, as well as the accounting of all city capital projects.

*There is a convenience fee of 2.95% for all payments made with a credit or debit card.

Important Tax Dates
Taxes are due quarterly on the first of the month.
  • February 1st
  • May 1st
  • August 1st
  • November 1st

Members of the public are encouraged to utilize online payment options or use the drop box located on the outside wall at the parking lot entrance to City Hall. Mailed payments must be received at City Hall by the due date.

Please note: if you have recently sold or refinanced your home, contact the Tax Office to terminate automatic payments. Monies will be extracted until the payment agreement is terminated. Contact the office of the Tax Collector at 908-273-6403 with any questions.
