Untitled design

Please be advised of the following city schedule changes and closures for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

City offices will be closed on Friday 12/24/21 and Friday 12/31/21.

The following dates are citywide parking holidays in Summit with no fees required for on-street parking, or parking in municipal lots and garages: Friday 12/24/21, Friday 12/31/21, and Saturday 1/1/22.

Free holiday shopper parking in certain areas of downtown Summit will begin on Saturday 12/11/21 and continue through Sunday 12/26/21. There will be no fees required for on-street parking at 90-minute on-street spaces, the Bank Street lot, and the first level of the Tier garage, for up to two hours. Time limits will be strictly enforced. Fees will still be required in the Park and Shop lots and the YMCA/Library parking lots.

Citywide curbside recycling and household trash collections are not affected by the Christmas or New Year’s holidays.

Curbside Christmas tree collection begins Sunday 12/26/21 and continues through Friday 1/28/22. All ornaments, lights, and decorations must be removed, and trees should be removed from plastic bags. Residents should place garlands and wreaths in or next to trash cans; they will be picked up with trash collection. There are no specific pickup dates or times for Christmas trees. Please do not report a concern about tree pickup until after 1/28/22.

The Transfer Station’s regular schedule is Tuesday through Friday from 7:30AM to 3:45PM, Saturday from 7:30AM to 4:45PM, and closed on Sunday and Monday. The following schedule changes will take place due to the upcoming holidays.
