The Silver Summit Senior Citizens Advisory Committee is seeking volunteers to join a newly formed Projects subcommittee, focused on identifying, developing, and implementing senior-focused programs, resources, and services in Summit.
Summit residents 18 years of age or older may apply. This remote position has a time commitment of approximately five hours each month, though volunteer hours may fluctuate depending on current projects. Subcommittee meetings will be held virtually using the Zoom platform, once a month or as needed.
“The Silver Summit Senior Citizens Advisory Committee is focused on ensuring that Summit is a community where residents can grow older and thrive,” explains Common Council President Marjorie Fox. “The newly launched projects subcommittee will be vital in focusing new initiatives for seniors, ensuring that community engagement in Summit is a lifelong experience."
