[ARCHIVED] Important COVID-19 Advisory Message from the Westfield Regional Health Dept

The Westfield Regional Health Department and City of Summit, NJ are advising any persons spending time in the bar area at Roots in Summit between November 3 and November 12, 2020 to immediately obtain a COVID-19 antigen test. If dining in another part of the restaurant or outdoors, patrons are advised to consult a physician. Harvest Restaurant Group has confirmed that multiple employees working as bartenders at Roots in Summit have tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus. The restaurant temporarily closed on November 12 and will voluntarily remain closed for a minimum of two weeks.

If you are sick with COVID-19 or think you might have COVID-19, stay at home except to receive medical care, call ahead before seeing a doctor, wear a mask over the nose and mouth if you must be around other people or animals, including pets even at home, do not share personal items in the home, cover coughs and sneezes and clean high-touch surfaces regularly. More information on COVID-19 symptoms, testing and treatment is available on the Center for Disease Control website.
