The City of Summit is providing information from the Union County Clerk’s Office on voting in the November 3, 2020 General Election.
Every active, registered voter in New Jersey will receive a ballot in the mail. Ballots can be returned by mail with a postmark on or before November 3, 2020 to be counted as a valid ballot by the County Clerk, if received by 8PM on November 10. Ballots without a postmark that are received within 48 hours of the closing of polls on November 3, 2020 shall be considered valid. Step-by-step instructions on how to complete a ballot are available at www.unioncountyvotes.com.
Provisional ballots will be used at all polling locations instead of voting machines. Each polling location will have one voting machine available for use by those who are physically unable to complete a provisional ballot. A full list of Wards and Districts can be found at www.cityofsummit.org/elections. Summit polling locations are as follows:
Ward 1 D1, 3, 4, 5 at Lincoln Hubbard School gym on 52 Woodland Ave.
Ward 1 D2, 6, 7, 12 at Summit High School gym on 125 Kent Place Blvd.
Ward 1 D8, 9, 10, 11 at Washington School gym on 507 Morris Ave.
Ward 2 D1, 2, 3, 4, 6 at Community Center Guida Gym on 100 Morris Ave.
Ward 2 D7, 8, 9, 10 at Summit Middle School, gym entrance on Summit Avenue (Handicap accessible entrance on Oakland Place).
Ward 2 D5, 11, 12, 13 at Franklin School on 136 Blackburn Rd. Entrance to gym on Warwick Road.
The deadline to register to vote in the November 3 General Election is October 13. Summit residents are encouraged to visit https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/registration-check to check their voter registration status.
