[ARCHIVED] By Executive Order and effective at 6AM on Monday, May 18

steps to reopen(1)

By Executive Order and effective at 6AM on Monday, May 18, non-essential construction may resume with appropriate safeguards in place, non-essential retail stores may reopen for online or phone ordering and curbside pickup only, and drive-through and drive-in events such as movies and church services may resume under social distancing guidelines and if participants remain in cars.

At construction sites, non-essential project work can resume with sensible safeguards in place:

  • Clear posting of safety protocols
  • Preventing overcrowding
  • Prohibiting non-essential visitors
  • Staggering work hours and breaks
  • Ensuring proper sanitation

Non-essential retail stores may reopen for online or phone ordering and curbside pickup only and must follow social distancing guidelines.

Gatherings of vehicles, such as drive-in movies or church services, are not a violation of the executive order prohibiting mass gatherings, as long as all participants remain in cars. If vehicles are closer than six feet apart, then all windows, sunroofs, or convertible tops must remain closed.
