SUMMIT, N.J., March 26, 2020 – Summit Mayor Nora Radest and Summit Downtown Inc. are requesting volunteers to assist local small business owners in navigating new COVID-19 coronavirus financial relief programs offered by the State of New Jersey Economic Development Authority, Small Business Administration and other state, county and local resources.
Citizens with businesses or financial expertise would work directly and remotely with small businesses during the week of March 30 to help them identify assistance options and complete required paperwork.
“We have tremendous human capital in our city that can provide an immediate benefit to our small business owners,” explains Mayor Radest. “Over the past few weeks, our community has come together to support residents in need, and I have been hearing from many more people that would like to help. I encourage you to join me in doing everything we can to support local business.”
To volunteer, send an email to Mayor Radest at nradest@cityofsummit.org with information on availability and area of experience and expertise.
