The City of Summit is announcing a public workshop meeting for the 2016 Summit Master Plan re:Vision will take place on Wednesday, June 1 at 7:30PM at the Elks Lodge on 40 Maple St. in Summit. All interested citizens are invited and encouraged to attend.
“To be successful, our Master Planning process needs to be a very inclusive community-wide process,” explains Summit Mayor Nora Radest. “Active participation by residents and members of the business community will ensure the success of this vital project. Please consider attending the workshop on June 1.”
The purpose of the June 1 meeting will be to gather feedback from key stakeholders to ensure the creation of a Master Plan re-examination that most effectively guides the development of the community and its policies.
The New Jersey Municipal Land Use Law (NJSA 40:55D-1) establishes the processes and requirements for all municipalities to prepare a master plan that outlines and directs the development regulations and general direction of the municipality every 10 years.
