Presentations

The Park Line Foundation will be making a presentation on the proposed next steps of the project. In December 2018, a public workshop was held on the project. At that meeting, a series of questions were raised by the public. We expect that these questions will be addressed at this meeting. Given the number of years that this project has been discussed and the amount of community interest, the meeting tonight will be critical in deciding the future path for this project.  Both residents and council members will have an opportunity to ask further questions and to express opinions on what should happen next.

Ordinances

There will be one ordinance for consideration and voting regarding removing the fingerprinting requirement, amending license fees and amending insurance requirements.  There will be an introduced regarding changing the parking requirement on Lincoln Avenue from prohibiting parking to allowing for two-hour parking on both sides of the road and install new stripping on the road.

Resolutions for Consideration

There are a number of grant applications being submitted. These applications are for phase three improvements to the Village Green (including work on paths, lighting and further beautification); safe streets in the downtown (including sidewalk, planter and lighting replacements); road improvements to Park and West End avenues (including road, curb and sidewalk work); and installation of a rapid flashing beacon at Springfield Avenue by Briant Park.

Next Council Meeting:  Tuesday, July 23 at 7:30PM.
