Join us for a City Hall Open House on Thursday, April 11 from 3PM to 5PM.
City staff will host tours through council chamber, police and fire departments and the Mayor's Office. Citizens can learn about the roles of city departments and the valuable work initiated by community volunteers.
The Office of the Mayor is sponsoring an essay contest among eighth graders at Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School with the prompt: How my Local Government Impacts me and my Family. The selected student will be awarded Mayor for the Day status on Thursday, April 11.
The Office of the City Clerk will lead a mock council meeting with high school students assuming the role of elected officials.
Our first open house will be a fun and interesting event. We hope to see you there!
