The deadline to register to vote in the June 6 Primary Election is Tuesday, May 16. Residents can register to vote at the Summit City Clerk’s office, located on the second floor of City Hall, at 512 Springfield Avenue.

To accommodate last minute registrants, the City Clerk’s office has scheduled evening voter registration hours on May 16 from 4:30PM to 9PM. Regular voter registration hours are 8:30AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday.

Citizens of the United States that are 18 years of age on or before the date of the election and a resident of NJ and Union County for no less than 30 days are eligible to vote. Voter registration applications may be obtained from the Union County website. Residents must be registered to vote no less than 21 days in advance of an election to be eligible to vote.
