The Summit Department of Community Programs is announcing the 2017 PAL Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7 from 8AM to 4PM at the Summit Municipal Golf Course, located at 189 River Road.

All residents are welcome to attend. The pond at the Summit Muni will be fully stocked with Rainbow and Brook Trout, with ten 21-inch prize fish and one thousand 13-inch fish. Admission to the fishing derby is free; Summit Muni membership is not required. The event will take place rain or shine. Attendees are asked to bring their own rods and reels; bait and tackle will be available for purchase at the event.

The fishing derby is sponsored by the Summit PAL and the Department of Community Programs. The Summit PAL will be providing free hot dogs and soda for all attendees. For more information please visit summitcommunityprograms.com or call 908-277-2932.
