DeForest Avenue Project Update
Work on the traffic signal and street light replacement project resumed on January 3, 2017 with crews making significant progress over the past four weeks. In the next six weeks, signals and street lights will continue to be installed and activated. New signals will include pedestrian push buttons and meet all Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards. In mid to late April, the contractor will complete remaining concrete work on sidewalks, and schedule the milling and paving of DeForest Avenue between Maple Street and Norwood Avenue. Striping of traffic lanes and drawing of parking spaces will immediately follow; crosswalks will be installed in late May.
