[ARCHIVED] City Schedule for Remainder of 2016 Holiday Season

City offices will open at 10AM on Friday, December 16 following the annual holiday staff breakfast meeting. Offices will also be closed on Monday, December 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday and on Monday, January 2, 2017 in observance of New Year’s Day.

The Department of Community Services will be closing at 2PM on Thursday, December 15 for its annual meeting and will reopen at 10AM on Friday, December 16. The Parking Services Agency will be closing at 12PM on Friday, December 16 for its annual meeting and will reopen at 8:30AM on Monday, December 19.

Monday, December 26 and Monday, January 2, 2017 are parking holidays in Summit with no fees in any parking garages, lots or at street meters.

Household garbage is collected on all major holidays, if the holiday falls on a regular pickup day. The City of Summit Transfer Station will be operating on a regular schedule on Saturdays, December 24 and 31, and will be open from 7:30AM to 4:45PM.

Curbside pickup of leaves for the fall season has concluded. Residents may deposit leaves in brown compostable bags at the Transfer Station at any time during the calendar year.

Curbside pickup of Christmas trees will begin on Monday, December 26 and will continue through Friday, January 27, 2017. Please remove all decorations and do not place trees in plastic bags.

The next Dial-a-Truck curbside bulky item pickup is scheduled for Thursday, December 29. Please call 908-273-6404 to schedule a pickup. There are limited spaces available.
