The City of Summit is encouraging Summit residents to sign up for a home energy audit from Ciel Power LLC and discover energy improvements to help save money and energy this fall.

The Summit Home Energy Insight Program is offering $49 home energy assessments to Summit residents, performed by Ciel Power LLC. This program encourages participation in the NJ Home Performance with Energy Star (HPwES) Program, which can help homeowners qualify for up to $4,000 in cash rebates and up to $10,000 in zero-interest financing for home energy improvements that reduce energy use by up to 30%.

Since the program was launched earlier this year, over 100 energy audits have been scheduled by Summit homeowners, including Summit Mayor Nora Radest.

“With cooler weather approaching, now is a perfect time to schedule a home energy audit,” explains Mayor Radest. “My audit highlighted ways to reduce energy use in my home, and save money.” The audit was filmed in May 2016 by Hometowne TV as part of the series, “See You Around Town,” hosted by Mayor Radest. The episode can be viewed online here.
