The City of Summit is announcing that beginning on Tuesday, September 6, construction around town will take place between the hours of 9AM and 2:30 PM and will resume at 3:30PM alleviating traffic congestion during drop-off and pick-up times for Summit area schools.
“It is important that we allow citizens to adjust to their back to school and work schedules without construction projects adding to delays throughout town,” explains Summit Mayor Nora Radest. “With the added inconvenience of the Morris Avenue bridge closure, it is a priority to have as few impediments to pedestrian safety and traffic flow as possible.”
Even with the revised construction schedule, it is important to allow extra time traveling in and around Summit.
