[ARCHIVED] City Issues Transportation Information for PGA Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club

The City of Summit is the official transportation hub for the 2016 PGA Championship, July 25-31, 2016 with NJ Transit train access and shuttle service to and from Baltusrol Golf Club for the Championship. The PGA is advising visitors to utilize public transportation to get to Summit, as there will be no designated parking in Summit for PGA Championship spectators.

There will be complimentary PGA shuttle service available between the Summit Train Station (40 Union Place) and the Irwin Park bus terminal at Baltusrol Golf Club. Travel time on the shuttle to the Championship is 10-15 minutes from the Summit Train Station. Shuttles will depart on a continuous basis or every 10 minutes during peak times. The shuttle schedule is as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 6:30AM to 8PM, Thursday and Friday from 6AM to 8:30PM, Saturday and Sunday from 6:30AM to 8:30PM. Visitors are prohibited from bringing bags larger than 10” x 10” x 10” as well as any backpacks to Baltusrol Golf Club during the PGA Championship. Prohibited bags will not be accepted or stored at the golf course. Each spectator is permitted one water bottle with an unopened seal.
