In celebration of the 2016 PGA Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club, July 25 - 31, the Mayor's Task Force for the PGA, with help from Summit Downtown, Inc. and the Department of Community Programs, has been working to organize events in town to coincide with the tournament and encourage attendees to explore Summit while they are in town. Summit residents are also welcome and encouraged to take advantage of all that's happening in town during the tournament. Dozens of merchants are offering special promotions (some require proof of PGA tickets) and a Party at the 19th Hole! is planned for Thursday, July 28 on Beechwood Road from 5 to 8PM.
For up-to-the-minute details on events and offers, download and use the "Close By Summit" app for free from the iPhone app store, or visit close.by/summit on the web. A complete calendar of events may also be found on the city's website at: cityofsummit.org/pga.
Summit residents (ages 15+) interested in welcoming visitors to town during the PGA Championship can sign up to volunteer at the information tent on the Village Green by sending an email to recdept@cityofsummit.org.
