[ARCHIVED] Modified recycling schedule due to Labor Day

Recycling collection will operate on a modified schedule for the week of September 1, 2025. There is no recycling collection on Monday, September 1; all collections for the week will be picked up the next day and adhere to the following modified schedule:

  • No recycling collection on Monday, September 1
  • Monday collection moves to Tuesday, September 2
  • Tuesday collection moves to Wednesday, September 3
  • Wednesday collection moves to Thursday, September 4
  • Thursday collection moves to Friday, September 5
  • Friday collection moves to Saturday, September 6

Recycling items should be placed at the curb by 6AM the morning of residents' pickup. Summit residents should use the SeeClickFix app or the module on the city website to report missed pickups. Trash collection is unaffected and will operate on a regular schedule the week of September 1. More information on trash and recycling is available at cityofsummit.org/recycling.

City offices will be closed on Monday, September 1; Monday is also a parking holiday in Summit with no fees required for on-street parking or parking in municipal lots and garages.


Regular operating hours at City Hall will resume on Tuesday, September 2; municipal offices will now be open from 8:30AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday, and the construction office will be open from 7AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday.
