The City of Summit is hosting its annual Earth Day Clean-Up on Saturday, March 29, from 9AM to 12PM. The rain date is Sunday, March 30. The event is being organized by members of the Summit Environmental Commission.

People of all ages and abilities are invited to volunteer to help beautify city parks and open spaces. Individuals may volunteer on the day of the event at Briant Park or Martin’s Brook Park. To participate as a group, email event organizers prior to the event to be assigned to a site. Participants should bring work gloves and a beverage in a reusable container.

Community service hours are available; participants should bring relevant forms with them to the clean-up site to be signed by event organizers. Students in grades 8 to 12 may attend without a parent or guardian with a signed permission form. For more information, to schedule participation as a group, or obtain permission forms, email summitearthdaycleanup@gmail.com.
