Union County will be performing overnight milling and paving operations on Morris Avenue for approximately five nights, beginning on Monday, September 9, and continuing through Friday, September 13, weather permitting. Work will be performed between the hours of 7PM and 6AM.

Work will begin on the westbound lane on Morris Avenue at Chapel Street and move towards Springfield Ave (near City Hall) for two nights, and then turn around and move eastbound along Morris Avenue. While work is completed, sections of the road will be fully closed in both directions as work progresses along Morris Avenue.

Police will be onsite to direct traffic and detours will be in place; Broad Street will be used as the main detour artery.

Residents are asked to park vehicles on neighboring side streets during work hours and overnight as needed. Police will be notified of overnight and extended parking on side streets.

Expect traffic and delays in the area. Please leave extra time while traveling in and around this area while work is completed.
