PSE&G is working to replace aging gas pipes on Springfield Avenue in the Central Retail Business District. Work will be performed overnight on Springfield Avenue between Waldron Avenue and Morris Avenue between the hours of 9:30PM and 5:30AM. The project is expected to be complete by Friday, May 19, weather permitting. Portions of Springfield Avenue will be fully closed to traffic one block at a time for crews to complete work. Work will be performed by contractor group Roman E&G.
Beginning Tuesday, May 2, for approximately one week, work will be performed on the next section, on Springfield Avenue between Beechwood Road and Kent Place Boulevard from 9:30PM to 5:30AM. On-street parking spaces in the area will be flagged for no parking after 6PM.
