06/30/2025—At approximately 1909 hours a 48-year-old female from Summit was arrested and charged with terroristic threats, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and criminal mischief. The defendant was processed and transported to Essex County Jail. 

07/01/2025—At approximately 0010 hours the Summit Police initiated a motor vehicle stop which resulted in a 32-year-old male from East Windsor Township being arrested and charged with driving under the influence. The defendant was processed and released with a pending municipal court date. 

07/03/2025—At approximately 1856 hours a 36-year-old male from Summit was arrested and charged with shoplifting. The defendant was processed and released with a pending municipal court date. 

07/05/2025—At approximately 0149 hours a 50-year-old male from New Providence was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, harassment, and contempt of court. The defendant was processed and transported to Union County Jail.

07/07/2025—At approximately 2044 hours Summit Police conducted a motor vehicle stop which resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old male from Newark for an outstanding warrant out of Howell Township. The defendant was processed and released with a pending court date. 

07/08/2025—At 1406 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred on Huntly Road. The victim stated they parked their work vehicle at approximately 0830 hours, while they worked inside the resident’s house. When the victim returned to the unlocked vehicle at 1320 hours they noticed multiple items were missing. Taken was an iPad, valued at $1500 and a Chase business credit card. 

07/09/2025—At 1732 hours a report was taken for a bicycle theft that occurred at a Morris Avenue residence. The victim stated they left their bicycle unsecured in the rear portion of their house and was stolen sometime during the overnight hours. Taken was a light blue Mongoose bicycle, valued at $230.00.

07/10/2025—At approximately 2000 hours patrol responded to High Street for a report of a male slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle.  On-scene investigation led to the arrest of a 55-year-old male from Chatham Township for driving under the influence. The defendant was processed and released with a pending municipal court date. 

07/11/2025—At approximately 1605 hours Summit Police conducted a motor vehicle stop which resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old male from Elizabeth for an active ATS Warrant out of Union Township. The defendant was processed and released with a pending municipal court date. 

07/13/2025—At approximately 1220 hours Summit Police received an ALPR alert for a stolen U-Haul entering the City.  Officers subsequently located the vehicle and conducted a felony stop on Broad Street.  On-scene investigation led to the arrest of a 33-year-old male from West Babylon, NY, who was subsequently charged with forgery and receiving stolen property. The defendant was processed and released with a mandatory court date.
