The Summit Police Department is hosting a bike rodeo on Sunday, May 18, from 9AM to 12PM in the Bank Street parking lot in downtown Summit (corner of Beechwood Rd and Bank St).
Young riders are invited to learn essential bike handling skills, traffic safety rules, and the importance of wearing helmets through fun, hands-on activities and obstacle courses. Representatives from Trek Bicycle will offer expert guidance and equipment checks. Summit police officers will also educate attendees on the new e-bike ordinance that was passed at the Tuesday, April 22, Common Council meeting.
