Activity blotter February 24 to March 9, 2025
02/28/2025—At 0515 a report was taken for an attempted theft from a motor vehicle located at a Hillcrest Avenue residence. The victim stated an unknown individual entered their unsecured 2018 Mercedes Benz C300 sometime during the overnight hours. The glovebox was discovered to be open and rummaged through; at the time of the report nothing was noted taken.
03/04/2025—A 34-year-old male from Newark was arrested for several outstanding warrants out of multiple jurisdictions. The defendant was processed and subsequently turned over to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.
03/04/2025—At 0920 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at a Glendale Road residence. The victim stated that a new cleaning crew they hired stole multiple items from their residence in the last three weeks, including multiple articles of clothing, earbuds, and a women’s watch. The total monetary value of the stolen items was unknown at the time of the report.
03/04/2025—A 33-year-old male from Belleville was arrested for an active ATS warrant out of Bloomfield. The defendant was processed and released with a new pending court date.
03/05/2025—A 56-year-old male from Summit was arrested for several outstanding warrants out of several jurisdictions. The defendant was processed and turned over to Raritan Police Department.
03/08/2025—At approximately 0124 hours, the Summit Police Department was dispatched to a residence on Edgewood Road for a report of a burglary to a residence. After returning to the residence at approximately 0030 hours, the homeowner discovered that a second-floor window had been broken, allowing the suspect(s) to gain access into the home. Several pieces of jewelry were stolen, including a family heirloom necklace with an unknown value at the time of the report.
03/08/2025—A 44-year-old male from Summit was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. The defendant was processed and released with a pending court date.
