At approximately 7:10PM on Monday, December 2, Summit Fire Department responded to a commercial fire at 789 Springfield Avenue.
On arrival, crews found the fire in the attic space of the building and extinguished it. Crews determined the fire was caused by a malfunctioning exterior light fixture. Damage was mostly contained to the exterior of the building. No injuries reported. Millburn and Springfield fire departments also responded to the scene and provided mutual aid.
