This is a reminder of important upcoming election-related deadlines and dates for the November 5 General Election.

Vote by Mail

The deadline to apply by mail for a Vote-by-Mail ballot is Tuesday, October 29. The deadline to apply in-person at the County Clerk offices in Elizabeth and Westfield for a Vote-by-Mail ballot is Monday, November 4, at 3PM. Completed Vote-by-Mail ballots can be returned in person or by mail to the Union County Board of Elections office or at the secure ballot drop box located in the Chestnut Street parking lot at 406 Broad Street in Summit. If such voter no longer wants this option, they must notify the Office of the County Clerk in writing. More information on Vote-by-Mail ballots is available here.

Union County residents have the option to vote early at specified locations throughout the county beginning on Saturday, October 26, through Sunday, November 3. Locations, dates, and times for early voting are available on the Union County Board of Elections website.
