The Summit Department of Community Programs is hosting the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson from 11AM to 2PM on Thursday, June 20, at the Summit Family Aquatic Center (SFAC) located at 100 Ashwood Avenue. This event is free and open to all Summit residents; SFAC membership not required.

The event will begin with a presentation from members of the Summit police and fire departments, Overlook Medical Center, and the Westfield Regional Health Department, that will focus on general sun and heat safety tips. Swimming instructors will lead children in a swimming lesson that will include instructions and information on how to safely enter the water, hold breath while underwater, floating skills, and basic stroke techniques.
