04/09/2024—Juan Bolanos, 20, of Summit was arrested and charged with resisting arrest. Mr. Bolanos was processed and released with a pending municipal court date.
04/09/2024—Danielle Nemeth, 42, of Wharton was arrested and charged with shoplifting. Ms. Nemeth was processed and released with a pending court date.
04/11/2024—Jaqwan Desmormes, 25, of Summit was arrested and charged with simple assault. Mr. Desmormes was processed and transported to Union County Jail.
04/16/2024—At 2046 hours a report was taken for a burglary into an unlocked vehicle located on Broad Street. The victim stated they parked their vehicle at 0630 hours on 4/15/24 and when they returned to their vehicle at 2015 hours on 4/15/24 they discovered their vehicle had been entered and rummaged through. Taken was the vehicle registration and insurance card.
04/21/2024—At 1040 hours a report was taken for an attempted motor vehicle theft that occurred at a Wentworth Road residence. The victim stated that while reviewing home security system footage they observed at 0648 hours on 4/21/24 an unknown male wearing a dark blue sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes exit the rear driver’s side of the suspect vehicle and run up the victim’s driveway towards a parked Porsche Cayenne. The male attempted to gain entry to the vehicle on the driver’s side; when he was unable to gain access, he fled the area.
04/25/2024—Fabian Gomez Ramos, 31, of Summit was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Mr. Gomez Ramos was processed and transported to Union County Jail.
04/26/2024—Jeremy Keys, 29, of Summit was arrested and charged with unlawful purpose of a firearm. Mr. Keys was processed and transported to Union County Jail.
04/28/2024—Garnelo Delfino, 37, of Summit was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. Mr. Delfino was processed and released with a pending court date.
05/02/2024—At 0727 hours a report was taken for a burglary into a motor vehicle parked at a Larned Road residence. The victim stated on 5/2/24 at 0430 hours their ring camera recorded an unknown individual enter their vehicle. The black 2012 Audi Q5 was left unlocked without the key fob inside. The video shows a thin male approximately 6’6” tall, wearing black clothing and a mask, enter the driver’s side door. The suspect then fled the area; nothing was taken from the vehicle.
05/05/2024—William Montenegro, 37, of Union City was arrested and charged with simple assault. Mr. Montenegro was processed and released with a pending court date.
05/08/2024—At 1647 hours a report was taken for a stolen motor vehicle parked at a Broad Street business. Video surveillance shows the vehicle being driven out of the lot at 0108 hours on 5/5/2024. There was no key fob left in the vehicle at the time of the theft. Taken was a green 2021 Jeep Wrangler, valued at $42,000.
05/10/2024—At 1635 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at a New England Avenue residence. The victim stated they had a package delivered from Saks Fifth Avenue on 5/10/24. When they went to retrieve the package, it was no longer there. Taken was a pair of women’s shoes valued at $800.
05/11/2024—At 1737 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at a Deforest Avenue business. The victim stated that earlier on 5/11/24 they left their wallet behind at a business. They realized that their wallet was missing when they received a text message from CITI Bank notifying them of a $2000 charge. Taken was an off-white wallet containing a Macy’s credit card, American Express credit card, CITI Bank credit card, and medical insurance cards.
05/14/2024—John Ramirez, 48, of Summit was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of an imitation firearm and violent behavior. Mr. Ramirez was processed and released with a pending Superior Court date.
