The Division of Engineering is sharing information on an upcoming project involving the city's sanitary sewer lines. Beginning on or about Wednesday, May 15, and continuing for approximately six weeks, National Water Main Cleaning Company will work to inspect and clean sanitary sewer lines throughout the city, weather permitting. The affected sewer mains were previously identified to be in need of repair by the Engineering Division.

The contractor will distribute door hangers with project information to impacted residents prior to the start of work. Residents will be instructed to refrain from using interior facilities such as toilets, faucets, and showers during work hours; doing so will significantly delay project work. If you receive a door hanger and are in an impacted area, please read the information from the contractor and take note of work hours.

Road closures and detours will be in effect during project work; police will be onsite to direct traffic. Please contact the Division of Engineering at 908-273-6404 with any questions.
