The PSE&G project to replace gas pipes throughout Summit is currently underway. Work is expected to be complete by early summer 2023 depending on project progress over the spring. Over the next week, crews will be replacing mains and services on the following streets in Summit, weather permitting:
Essex Road between Robin Hood Road and Dogwood Drive
Woodland Avenue between Hillcrest Avenue and Bellevue Avenue
Sherman Avenue between Norwood Avenue and Lorraine Place
Tanglewood Drive between Little Wolf Road and Dale Drive
Wade Drive between Karen Way and Hartley Road
Kenneth Court from Woodland Avenue to end
Kent Court apartment complex at 15 Norwood Avenue Road closures and detours will be in effect, and Summit police will be onsite to direct traffic. Work will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 7AM and 5PM, weather permitting. Overnight work on Springfield Avenue
PSE&G is continuing overnight work to replace aging gas pipes on Springfield Avenue in the Central Retail Business District in Summit. Over the next week, PSE&G will be performing overnight work on Springfield Avenue between Beechwood Road and Kent Place Boulevard between the hours of 9:30PM and 5:30AM, weather permitting. On-street parking spaces in the area will be flagged for no parking after 6PM. Streets are subject to full closure during project work. More information |
