At 5:32AM this morning, a 28-year-old male pedestrian was struck in a crosswalk at the intersection of Morris Avenue and Mountain Avenue.

The driver of an older model possibly 2005 to 2010 white Dodge Durango fled the scene heading west on Mountain Avenue toward New Providence.

Summit Police Department is asking for assistance from the public in identifying the vehicle involved in the hit and run accident. Mountain Avenue residents with video or doorbell cameras are asked to look for footage of the vehicle between 5:30AM and 5:45AM this morning.
