The PSE&G project to replace gas pipes throughout Summit is currently underway. Work is expected to be complete by early summer 2023 depending on project progress over the winter and spring. Over the next week, crews will be replacing mains and services on the following streets in Summit, weather permitting:
Springfield Avenue between Edgewood Road and Waldron Avenue
Woodland Avenue between Beverly Road and Karen Way Morris Avenue between Norwood Avenue and Kent Place Boulevard Highland Drive between Rotary Drive and Rotary Drive Canoe Brook Parkway between Iris Road and Rose Lane Little Wolf Road between Drum Hill Drive and Tanglewood Drive
Summit Avenue near intersections of Morris Turnpike, Whittredge Road, and Springfield Avenue
Road closures and detours will be in effect, and Summit police will be onsite to direct traffic. Work will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 7AM and 5PM, weather permitting.
