The PSE&G project to replace gas pipes throughout Summit is currently underway. Work is expected to be complete by early summer 2023 depending on project progress over the winter. PSE&G crews will be replacing mains and services on the following streets in Summit over the next week:
Waldron Avenue between Whittredge Road and Springfield Avenue
Hillside Avenue between Crescent Avenue and Deforest Avenue Morris Avenue between Bedford Road and Norwood Avenue Essex Road between Whittredge Road and Springfield Avenue Rotary Drive between Tanglewood Drive and Highland Drive Canoe Brook Parkway between Iris Road and Woodland Avenue
Dale Drive between West Lane and Tanglewood Drive
Road closures and detours will be in effect, and Summit police will be onsite to direct traffic. Work will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 7AM and 5PM, weather permitting.
