Summit Police Department weekly blotter August 8 to 14, 2022

8/10/2022—At 1151 hours a report was taken for a motor vehicle theft from a Morris Avenue business. The victim stated the incident occurred during overnight hours; the second key fob was not in possession of the business at the time of the theft. Taken was a gold 2018 BMW X5 valued at $38,000.

8/12/2022—At 1058 hours a report was taken for a burglary to a Whittredge Avenue residence. The victim stated the incident occurred while the house was vacant. It was discovered that a second floor window was broken, and bedrooms were rummaged through. At the time of the report a list of stolen items was not provided.

8/14/2022—Correa Pickering, 44, of Scotch Plains was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. Ms. Pickering was processed and released with a pending court date.
