Summit Police Department weekly blotter July 18 to July 29, 2022

7/18/2022—At 1424 hours a report was taken for a theft of three bicycles that occurred at a Springfield Avenue business. The victim stated the bikes were stolen during the overnight hours. Taken were three Huffy bicycles valued at $250 each.

7/19/2022—At 1624 hours a report was taken for a burglary that occurred at a Springfield Avenue business. The victim stated the incident occurred between the dates of July 13 and July 19. Taken were two Apple TV streaming devices, valued at $150 each, one small white safe containing cash and a folder of documents.

7/22/2022—At 1812 hours a report was taken for a bicycle theft from a Maple Street business. The victim stated that on July 20 they left a bike unlocked in the bicycle rack overnight. When the victim went back to retrieve their bike, it was missing. Taken was a black and grey specialized mountain bicycle, valued at $500.

7/27/2022—At 1856 hours a report was taken for a stolen motor vehicle from a Beekman Road residence. The incident occurred just prior to contacting police when the caller observed two males wearing ski masks walk down the driveway and enter an unlocked vehicle with the key fob inside. Taken was a grey 2018 Range Rover valued at $60,000.

7/28/2022—Nicholas Hargrave, 29, of East Orange was arrested and charged with simple assault. Mr. Hargrave was processed and released with a pending court date.
