Dear Summit Ridesharing Program Participant:

At its February 15, 2022, public meeting Common Council approved a price increase per ride for all ridesharing program participants. This is the first price increase since the program began in 2019.

Effective April 1, 2022, the cost for a one-way ride for program participants has increased from $2 to $3.

The one-dollar price increase is the result of rising direct costs to the city from $6.11 to $9.66 per ride. While the city continues to subsidize a significant portion of each ride for program participants, COVID-19 pandemic expenses, incentives paid to drivers and the increasing price of gasoline are some of the reasons why council approved the necessary price increase.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Parking Services Agency at

The City of Summit appreciates your continuing participation in Summit’s ridesharing program.

Kindest Regards,
