The Union County online vaccination registration system is now live and can be accessed through ucnj.org for those eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. https://ucnjvaccine.org. The county offers the Moderna vaccine.
Eligible residents include paid and unpaid persons serving in health care settings with the potential for direct or indirect exposure to patients or infectious materials, and long-term care residents and staff. Sworn law enforcement personnel and fire professionals are also eligible.
Beginning on Thursday, January 14, residents aged 65 and older are also eligible to receive the vaccine, as well as those between the ages of 16 and 64 with medical conditions that increase the risk of severe illness from the virus, as defined by the CDC.
The registration system will allow only eligible Union County residents to schedule an appointment. Those who are ineligible to receive vaccinations in this phase of the program will not be allowed to pre-register, and must wait until they are eligible.
The Union County COVID-19 vaccination clinic is located at Downs Hall at Kean University in Union, and is open five days a week from 3PM to 7PM. When additional vaccines are available, Union County will offer vaccinations in more locations in Union County.
