JCP&L will be conducting aerial patrol inspections of power lines in the Summit area for approximately one week, from August 11 to August 18, weather permitting. A blue and white helicopter with tail number N894HA will be flying above or alongside lines.

To encourage children to practice bicycle safety, Summit police officers will distribute $5 gift cards to children that they observe demonstrating proper bicycle safety techniques, such as wearing a helmet, using hand signals and obeying traffic laws.

NJ American Water will be installing new water mains along Morris Ave between River Rd and Kent Place Blvd from 7/6 to 8/10, weather permitting. Work will be performed Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5:30PM. Summit Police will be onsite to direct traffic.
