The City of Summit Office of the City Clerk is sharing information regarding voter registration and party affiliation declarations for the Primary Election on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
Voter Registration Deadline

Registration forms must be returned by mail or in person to the Union County Board of Elections or the Summit Clerk’s Office by May 17. Forms are available at the Clerk’s Office or online in English and Spanish. Residents may also register online to vote.

First time or unaffiliated voters may declare their party at the polls on June 7, but only if they have never declared their party before. Unaffiliated voters who vote by mail will receive ballots for both the Democratic and Republican parties and shall return only one, thereby declaring the voter’s party.
