Voter Registration Deadline for the 2021 Gubernatorial Primary is May 18

To download a voter registration form visit the New Jersey state elections website at nj.gov/state/elections/voter-registration. Be sure to print and sign the form before returning by USPS mail. While Summit City Hall remains closed to the public, residents may drop off registration forms in the City Clerk box in the main entrance at City Hall as well. 

To register online, eligible residents should visit: https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/register and follow Online Voter Registration instructions. 

The Union County Board of Elections is open to assist residents who wish to register in-person.  The address is 271 North Broad Street, Elizabeth and office hours are 8AM to 4PM, Monday through Friday.  The Board will host extended hours on May 18 from 8AM to 9PM.

Voters who are registered in the Democratic and Republican parties will be able to vote in the Primary Election to choose their party’s nominee to run for Governor in the General Election and vote on local candidates. Primary Day will be on Tuesday, June 8.
