At the April 2 Common Council meeting, there will be a presentation by Topology on the proposed plan for Broad Street West redevelopment area.
Ordinances for Voting and Introduction
There will be five ordinances for hearing and voting: (1) increasing the rate that the police will charge for an officer to be present for outside traffic jobs from $60/hour to $80/hour; (2) codifying lane movements at the intersection of Passaic Avenue and River Road now that a new traffic light has been installed, (3) codifying turn restrictions at the traffic light between Passaic Avenue and River Road, (4) approving the annual authorization to allow the city to adjust its final budget based on the Cost of Living Adjustment to a cap of 3.5% over 2018 appropriations; and (5) authorizing an agreement between the City of Summit and New Jersey Bike Walk Coalition to construct a bike shelter at that the Summit train station. There will be two ordinances for introduction: (1) authorizing the acquisition of 7 Cedar Street and (2) adopting the Broad Street West Redevelopment Plan.
Resolutions for Consideration
There are several resolutions for consideration: (1) the purchase of road materials; (2) the authorization of celebrating Arbor Day; (3) the acquisition of audit services and bond counsel services; and (4) the appointment of various individuals based on closed session discussions.
