NF DCP holiday events

The Department of Community Programs (DCP) is sharing information on two holiday events: the Miracle on Elm Street holiday party and ice skating event and the 2017 holiday kids camp.

The Miracle on Elm Street holiday event will be held on Sunday, December 10 from 2 to 6PM on the Village Green, located at 356 Broad Street. Ice skating will be held in the Elm Street parking lot, free of charge; no registration is required. The event will also feature music, cookie decorating, food vendors, pictures with Santa, and more.

The department is also hosting a holiday kids camp from Tuesday, December 26 to Friday, December 29 for Summit students in grades one through eight. The camp will be held from 8:30AM to 3:30PM at St. John’s Church, located at 587 Springfield Avenue. The program will be led by DCP summer camp counselors and Share the Fun Club staff, and will feature arts and crafts, games, winter activities, and more. Participants are asked to bring a packed lunch for each day of camp. There will be an opportunity to order pizza each day for $2.50 per slice. The program costs $90 per child; limited spaces are available. Register in advance online with Community Pass.
