The City of Summit is holding a press conference on Thursday, September 15 at 1PM at the Morris Avenue bridge location on the corner of Morris and Springfield Avenues to announce its Let’s Get Moving community response to the Transportation Trust Fund work stoppage in Trenton.
Speakers at the press conference will include Summit Mayor Nora Radest, Common Council President Mike McTernan, Police Chief Robert Weck and Fire Chief Eric Evers. Community groups along with local, county and state elected officials have been invited to attend as well.
“We continue to call upon our governor and state legislators, who are derelict in their duties, to forge a compromise,” explains Summit Mayor Nora Radest. “We will remind them today and every day until a solution is reached to resolve the Transportation Trust Fund issue, and properly serve the people of New Jersey.”
