    OPRA system shut down July 1-5

    The online system used to submit OPRA requests to the City Clerk's Office will be shut down for maintenance from 12AM on Friday, July 1 through 12AM on Tuesday, July 5. To submit a request during this time, please email cityclerk@cityofsummit.org.

    75th annual Fourth of July Celebration

    The community celebration will take place on Monday, July 4, and will include entertainment, rides and amusements, a food court, and evening fireworks. Event schedule

    New recycling vendor and schedule change effective July 1

    Instead of the current, citywide collection day on Thursday, pickup will now occur five days a week, on the same day as residents’ weekly trash collection. Recycling collection will now operate as a single-stream collection. View pickup schedule

    Summer hours for city offices begin Tuesday 5/31

    From Tuesday 5/31 through Friday 9/2, city offices will be open from 8AM to 4:30PM Monday through Thursday, and from 8AM to 1PM on Fridays. The Construction Office will be open from 7AM to 4:30 Monday through Thursday, and from 7AM to 1PM on Fridays.

    Enjoy outdoor dining in downtown Summit

    At its May 3 meeting, Common Council unanimously voted to close Maple Street in both directions from Springfield Ave to the nearest alleyways to allow for outdoor dining. The road will be closed from Thursday, May 5 to Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
