Winter 2015 Programs (see below for Summer 2015 Programs)
All winter programs will begin the week of January 26, 2015 and run for 16 weeks.  Please note that all Harding Kids Club programs are taught on a continuum.  All new materials are presented during each class.

  • Mondays
    • Hands on Science AM/PM: Explore science through hands-on experiments, stories, activities, and games.  Topics covered include, kitchen chemistry, nature, animals, inventors, sea life, insects, planets, and more.
      • Winter/Spring - January 26 - May 25
      • 8:45 - 10:45 AM or 1:45 - 3:45 PM
      • Ages 4 - 6
      • Fee - $420 or $440 non-resident
    • Pre-K Math: Develop beginner math skills such as number recognition, sequencing, and applying quantity.  Finger plays, hands-on activities, and games will help make math fun. 
      • Winter/Spring - January 26 - May 25
      • 12:15 - 1:30 PM
      • Ages 4 - 5
      • Fee - $300 or $320 non-resident
  • Tuesdays
    • Kindergarten Enrichment Phonics AM/PM: Develop and improve phonemic awareness skills through fun activities using a multi-sensory approach.  Sight words and word building will also be taught as students progress through the levels of this program, building up to reading groups of words and eventually short stories.  Watch your child's self-esteem sore as he/she discovers the joys of reading.

      • 8:45 - 10:45 AM or 1:45 - 3:45 PM
      • Ages 5 - 6
      • Fee - $420 or $440 non-resident
    • Pre-K Phonics (T): Develop phonemic awareness skills through a multi-sensory approach while promoting reading readiness.  Songs, finger plays, and other interactive activities will help build upon previously learned material.
      • Winter/Spring - January 27 - May 26
      • 12:15 - 1:30 PM
      • Ages 4 - 5
      • Fee - $300 or $320 non-resident
  • Wednesdays
    • Kindergarten Enrichment Math AM/PM: Practice number skills using a hands-on, multi-sensory approach.  Learn new mathematical concepts such as working with money, place value, sequencing, sorting, addition, and other developmentally appropriate concepts and practices.

    • Pre-K Phonics (W) (see above description)

  • Thursdays
    • Thursdays for Threes: Strengthen listening and fine motor skills in this fun and interactive class designed specifically for three year olds.  Children will learn new concepts and ideas while participating in various activities such as art projects and story time with puppets, to name just a few.  Parents please note... your child must be potty-trained in order to attend this program. 
      • Winter/Spring - January 29 - May 29

      • Ages 3 (must be potty-trained)
      • Fee - $350 or $370 non-resident
    • Fine Motor Mania AM/PM: Work on developing fine motor skills by participating in activities that build hand and finger strength.  Activities include tracing, cutting, working with play-dough, building, and more.
      • Winter/Spring - January 29 - May 28
      • 10:30 - 11:45 AM or 12:15 - 1:30 PM

Summer 2015 Programs

  • Bridge to Kindergarten
    • *New Program: Maintain academic skills through the summer and ensure readiness for kindergarten.  Focus on refining fine motor skills, upper and lower case letter recognition, sound/symbol association, phonemic awareness skills, number sequencing, applying quantity, and the concept of addition and subtraction.

      • Ages 4 - 6 (must be 4 by May 1)
        • Session I - June 9 - 25

        • Session II - July 14 - 30

  • Bridge to First Grade
    • *New Program: Get ready for that next step to first grade.  Focus on short and long vowels, blends, diagraphs, sight words, interactive story-telling, reading comprehension, place value, regrouping and a general understanding of how math is connected to everyday situation.

      • Ages 4 - 6 (must be 4 by May 1)
        • Session I - July 14 - 30

        • Session II - August 4 - 20

  • It's a Bug's Life: Think they're just creepy-crawlies?  Discover some of natures tiniest but most interesting creatures.  *Children should pack a nut-free lunch.  
    • Ages 4 - 7 (must be 4 by May 1)
    • June 15 - 18
    • 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
    • Fee - $290/week or $310/week non-resident
  • Creatures of the Sea - Part I: Dive down to the depths of the sea and discover some of the must wondrous creatures that inhabit this ecosystem.  *Children should pack a nut-free lunch.  
    • Ages 4 - 7 (must be 4 by May 1)
    • June 22 - 25
    • 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
    • Fee - $290/week or $310/week non-resident
  • Meet the Artists: Children will learn about famous artists and their techniques through imitation of their unique style.  *Children should pack a nut-free lunch.  
    • Ages 5 - 7 (must be 5 by June 1)
    • June 29 - July 2
    • 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
    • Fee - $310/week or $330/week non-resident
  • Creatures of the Sea - Part II: Dive down to the depths of the sea and discover even more wondrous creatures that inhabit this ecosystem.  *Children should pack a nut-free lunch.
